Could be Dave but as I said in my earlier post, want some one who will have a feel for our club and not a cold fish like the one who just departed.

An instant appointment also does one of a few things which will look negative for the club as well mate, will be viewed as either rushed (more in the case of a weird appointment), or in the case of a good one - will pretty much show that we had approached someone whilst publicly still backing Koeman - which kind of looks dodgy PR wise.

The big hope is that it isn't a case of Moshiri deciding he wants someone and having no plan B though - although the money we will be offering will blow pretty much anyone out the water outside of a handful of top clubs - which ultimately will matter hugely

Defo the salary will flush out a high profile manager. There's no going back on the pay offered for this position now.

I said the other day (and still hope this to be the case) that the plan is to give Unsworth enough time to stabilise us but in the meantime Tuchel is in a holding pattern should things go wrong.

Some might ask whether we can keep a manager like that dangling. However, I dont see what Tuchel has to lose by being patient: he gets the job and all is well and good; he doesn't because Unsworth has us buoyant - no problems, he'll just bide his time until the next lucrative opportunity comes along.

Possibly. Although if you're a manager coming in do you want someone in the dugout as a ready replacement? Depends on their outlook, I suppose.

Lets not kid ourselves, if we get a high profile manager in and he does very well, he will be head-hunted by a bigger/wealthier club anyway, if he fails then he already knows the score, depends on their strength of character and belief in themselves i guess, also depends on the character of Unsworth - don't see him as being someone who'd undermine the club just to benefit himself
