David Unsworth - Temporary Manager

I was a big advocate of Unsworth but it hasn't quite worked out for him. His record is ok, but we have been fortunate in games. In truth each time we've played we have probably been second best, with the exception of Chelsea.

I had hoped he would tighten us up quickly, which would be the most pressing task. Today, we could have had little of the ball and been gifted a goal to win 1-0. It's a shame as he will move on now most likely.

His interview today smacked of desperation. I feel like he's being led on like you do with a girl who's about your 4th choice pick. He was desperately trying to spin it as a wonderful point. And doing a martinez basically. Just put him out of his misery.

He has no chance mate. It was the interview of a man who has been given no support from above and is struggling to motivate his players because they know he's a stand in. He's in an impossible situation and the board have treated him very shabbily. Very few people would accept managing a team, knowing you could be gone come Monday, but he has done it out of loyalty and love for the club. That shouldn't be forgotten when people are being critical of him.

Oh I fully blame our shoddy board for sacking without a plan and putting a man completely out of his depth in charge.
