David Unsworth - Temporary Manager

It’s a new record for how quick you can turn on an Everton manager. By largely the same people championing him to be given the job less than two weeks ago.

Hope we put in a performance today if it is his last game.
Talk of Allardyce to the end of the season I’d prefer it to go to Unsworth instead can’t blame him for the recruitment and lack of confidence.

3 games and 3 defeats but in fairness 3 difficult games. Today is a must win.

I never considered him a realistic appointment. There is a romantic section of our fan base who would like to see a true blue in charge but let’s face it as poor as we are this is still a top 20 job in world football (it would not surprise me if Koeman was earning a top 10 salary in European football). Unsworth has no resume for this kind of job.

It really irritates me seeing novices like Giggs and Neville talking about the possibility of taking over at Everton. Go away and prove yourself. You don’t start your careering managing a club like Everton

He was given an unforgiving task. I never wanted him longer term but I feel for what is a good Everton man.

I keep hearing it’s Dyche mate.

That's right. And it was so evident 2 weeks ago that that the same chunk hailing Unsy as the messiah will start calling all sorts of names once they realise he is nowhere near ready to manage a senior team in the PL. I may probably be the only person who says this but we should never have sacked Koeman. Should have let the board realise how their shortcomings are affecting us too.
