David Unsworth - Temporary Manager

Who's better than him to start ?

Rooney doesn't stay up front he drops back into his own half then looks to pick out a 30 yard forward pass when no body is up front

Calvert Lewin is useless, he runs and tries but hes not a goal threat.

I don't really know why nobody can just get hold of Rooney and tell him to stay upfront. He's useless spraying hollywood balls about as his distribution is nowhere near as good as he thinks it is - he can however finish very well. He'd be fine as a number 9, if he just stayed in the number 9 position.

Maybe a new manager could make him do it?
I hope so, unsworth and koeman haven't been able to.

Were that poor with either of them I honestly don't know, I'm terrified with either of them.
Holgate is the one that just has to go. From that terrible penalty conceded against Lyon at home - and he was just yuking it up later like nothing happened - to that botched punt last night. He was getting destroyed on every corner, too. Just pushed around.

Williams might be tolerable against some big stiff MAYBE.

He can't be worse than DCL or niasse ?

I'd give the poor [Poor language removed] a chance up front a few games
The dude scored 14 in La Liga. If he can put one in against Barcelona and Athletico, I think he can problem put one in against Watford at home. At least there is SOME record there. And he'll move and work. I'd play Rooney instead maybe, but Sandro should at least get both Europa league starts.

As someone who was deeply sceptical of appointing Unsworth as manager, I so wanted him to prove me wrong because he is a blue and a sound bloke to boot.
In the end he he has both confirmed some of my fears but allayed others. I'm currently 50/50 on him.
In the end I would prefer us to appoint a quality manager who can invigorate the team and give us more hope going forwards
I will say ,however that if our only options are Allardyce or Dyche then I would prefer we stuck with Unsworth.
