With a team who had a budget that meant relegation was more likely than top 4. Look at villa and Leeds now. Without moyes that was us

That was ages ago. Its like the past couple of years didn't happen.

And we did not have a relegation budget, we still paid more than most clubs in wages.

im defo not advocating for moyes but as much as i'd like to win a trophy, just the top 8 and winning a fair share of our games would be boss.. i got my first season ticket this season and goin to the match has been proper depressing. we shouldnt downplay how important winning regularly is and finishing high up that table. us playing confidently and with some pride and not losing too many, thats a start.

Imagine writing off away to the big 6 on fixture release day every June vecause we know it's knife to s gun fight

Imagine fearing teams no matter who they are and backs to the walls after 10 minutes of a game

Imagine getting to a cup semi and defending for 70 minutes waiting to lose.

Imagine beibg best of the rest and never changing because those 12-15 points a season we missed out on we surrendered before a ball was kicked.

Sorry but No, 11 years of the same manager and we have nothing to show for it. We aren't Crewe Alexandra. And more to the point, he has been sacked 3 times since leaving, why on earth would any fan even consider a a manger who keeps getting sacked from their jobs as a possible contender?

I can categorically confirm that Moyes wants the job here. I spoke with his ex-PA Sue after the game yesterday, who is a close friend of mine, and I saw a text.

Big difference between him wanting it and getting it obviously.

Before anyone pipes up, I am 34 years of age, and have no desire to be an ITK. This is not a rumour it is a fact.

He also wanted it when Martinez was sacked.

If Bill can convince Moshiri, this could have legs, hope note................but we all know Bill would want him back

of course he wants the everton job, he's been binned from his last 3 jobs ( the last of which was a truly shocking spell ) and he'd love to be back with his little best mate kenwright

he wont get it though, if he does then moshiri doesn't have any ambition what so ever, baines and jags and co will be playing in to there 40's

Said this yesterday.. it’s like going on a relationship break with your partner after a big argument where you both say some nasty things. You’re both supposed to move on to pastures new and better things. The two of you don’t need one another, you had a great time for many years but you’ve both just outgrown one another.... only after a while the two of you realise that neither of you can do any better. So you end up back together, not really loving each other, but it’s familiar and it’s comfortable and quickly you’re back in the routine. Yet deep down inside you’re not happy and you know things will never be the same again.

Never go back.

And I’m definitely not speaking from experience.
