David Moyes

I'd have him on a short term deal, look at the market in the summer.

I can't see us attracting a 'big name' whilst we're 18th, and I don't want to bring in someone like Dyche for 5 years only for him to be gone before 2020.

So it would be better to get a manager in short term who took a team down last season and didn't even bother to try and save them?

Dunno about that like.

Like @Gwladysstreetlad says above we can not afford a divisive manager right now. So that will probably rule out anyone who has relegated a team, treated us badly in the past or has any links with Liverpool.

We need unity more than anything right now.

The injury crisis Sunderland went through relegated them, the board were more than willing to let him stay.

I'm not saying that Moyes is the ideal candidate, but I'm at least trying to be realistic here.

Tbh if it was all down to Bill as is being insinuated I reckon there's more chance of him giving it to Unsworth than Moyes if he's going the road of someone who knows the club etc. Just cant see Moyes coming back, I'm sure he wants it but just doesn't seem a fit anymore.

Look mate, I'm one of the few people who have consistently defended Moyes and still quite like the guy but it would be a disaster if he came back. We really need unity right now, our fanbase has been at war with each other for to long. We need sombody who we can all get behind right now. Sombody who everyone connected with the club will want to succeed. It has to be Unsworth, is he the answer long-term? I'm not sure, but as temp boss to see this season out and bring us together as a club again? He'd fit the mold perfectly.

Short sighted option. How can anyone wish to see us play dull and one dimension tactics is beyond me.

He tried to replicate what he did with Everton at 3 different clubs and failed miserably.

What makes people think he can be successful at the forth attempt?

Just because we are Everton? Football works this way?

I don't think Moyes back for a short term is a bad news, we need an experienced manager to re-construct the team including tactic, players and spirit, we need to escape relegation zone as soon as possible, we need a manager familiarize premier league and the club in order to reduce the adaption time of the new manager. I think to give him a caretaker role until the end of the season is the best decision for our situation, Unsworth can be assistant manager until the end of the season too, any extension of Moyes' contract is depend on the performance until the end of the season, fair to everyone.
