Can we do even better with another manager is the question.
If we can’t that would imply that Moyes is the best manager in the world that we could attract. I don’t believe Moyes career record of achievements would support that view.
We could get the next appointment wrong, we could get it right.
I’ve seen enough of Moyes teams over the years so I want to see if we can get it right.
Much appreciate the job Moyes has done in moving us away from the bottom as I did with Dyche in his first 18 months for keeping us up . The right appointments at the right time for a change.
I personally don’t get the keep Moyes & stabilise in mid table for a few years. You would have the exact same risk’s & opportunities at the end of that few years as you have at the end of this season.

I think Moyes has done a great job since he came back but the past tells us he has a limit.
I'm thinking about the longer term in saying that I think this summer, or if he gets Europe, then the end of his contract next summer is a good time to shake hands and move on to something new.
I'd like to see a more attacking, quicker brand of football which hopefully would attract players. I also definitely want to see better use of young players.
I find some of the debate on here crazy, from both sides. It feels like there's no room for nuance. There's nothing wrong with saying he's done well but also we need to try and take the next step or build on it with someone new.
As for who, it's always going to be a gamble but for a start there's Iraiola who might be attracted to a team with bigger stadium, budget etc. But it's not my job to name names, I'd expect an ownership that has multiple clubs to have done background searching for the last few months and have a shortlist of people that I've probably not even heard of.

Unfortunately, or fortunately, dependent upon your point of view, I don’t think you can take the decision on behalf of TFG.
I think it is more a case of being burned and shooting for the moon too quickly, after all that has gone on in the last few years.
I am not a total Moyes in or out person, I would be OK with him staying and if he goes then hopefully we can make the right appointment. If he stays, I would hope it would be 'stabilising' higher mid table, as in regular Europe, with an eye on getting a recruitment process to aim higher, after he is gone.
I would add that I think one of the risks of getting rid of him too soon is that the players, seemingly, are enjoying playing for him. That is massive in the whole scheme of things, and rocking that boat is not always the best course of action, in the short term. If we have Moyes leaving on his own terms it will enable a smoother transition, well that is the theory anyway

The Iraola's of this world dont come up very often. He would be the perfect fit for us to take on the work here after Moyes has stabilised the club for the last 18 months.
That sort of seamless transfer of manager to one that takes a club to a higher level takes place at ambitious clubs.

No, but ongoing maintenance and improvement goes a long way to making sure it doesnt break
There is plenty of room for nuance, you're just looking at the loudest voices.
He has a year left on his contract, he wont be getting sacked this year so depending how next season plays out it could just be a shake of hands. Maybe Moyes wants it that way himself !!
The Summer Window should be the biggest thing on your mind, and how we address that after a season behind us with the recruitment team.
Remember, even if he is offered a new deal, a contract means nothing if you aren't hitting the expectations, it's just a piece of paper..

VfB Stuttgart’s style of play isn’t too far removed from a certain toothy figure who used to operate just across the park high pressing, quick transitions, and attacking intent. We already have many of the players suited to that approach, though we’d still need to strengthen our fullbacks (as always).
That said, the timing could be an issue. Moyes’ contract situation may not align neatly with bringing someone like Hoeneß in especially as I’m not calling for Moyes to go. He’s had an excellent second spell, and with a more clinical striker, we could easily have been pushing closer to the top five this season.
As ever, though, be careful what you wish for.
