Because of the stupid toxic divide in this fanbase. I’ve said this numerous times in the past. And also because he is a manager that’s coming to the end of his career which even his biggest fans would not debate.

Don’t worry, he is going to do that. He inherited a team with 17 points after 19 games and tracking for 34 points, so settle down on that one. I was told that was the best that group of players could possibly do at the time, as well. So well done on the outstanding second half of last season David.

Oh and don’t forget to factor in our best centre half missing the whole season when talking about how much stronger we are btw.

Moyes deserved a lot of praise for that immediate new manager uplift. Dyche gets all the plaudits from me too for the same uplift - he inherited a team with 15 points after 20 games, with league leaders Arsenal x2 and Liverpool within the first 5. I thought we were toast then.

Like Dyche, I don't think Moyes is the long term option though.

They spent over 180m on 3 strikers in the summer mate. I’d expect some sort of uplift from last season based on that alone.

Yep. I would sooner our joke of a CEO be removed in the immediate future so we can start properly putting plans in place and banging heads together in the recruitment department in time for the summer window. This bloke will use any excuse under the sun to avoid working from now until after the World Cup.
