2025/26 David Moyes

I agree it matters more, but don’t think his public comments aren’t important.

And if he is saying those comments out to us, how do we know he isn’t echoing them to the squad?
Mainly because Moyes is pretty resistant to give any sort of details about that kind of thing. Not just what is said in the dressing room, but information about training, player fitness etc. He keeps things purposefully vague.

Moyes results are actually decent compared to what we've had recently though. I suppose the biggest question I ask myself is this: does another manager come in and have this team doing better? The answer is probably not. There's flaws throughout the squad. It's not like we're massively under performing right now.
But we need to see progression,
We’ve added some young players,
That Moyes isn’t really interested in playing and developing. So
He’s a short term appointment, TFG. kinnear etc all know it.

Surely he could see it early on that they were goin through our midfield like a knife through hot butter and he has to change things. That's what he's getting paid for. But it's just like. OK let's hope we get something.

Yeah. I like Barry but he’s clearly still developing. We need a senior to come in and take the main responsibility. Jesus could be a good signing if that is actually true.
Well he can perform miracles and probably get about the pitch more than Buddha and Ganesha, unless you meant Gabriel Jesus from Arsenal who has been a shadow of his former self for years when not out with one endless injury after another on a massive wage, which would be typical Everton.

What we had recently was a financial crisis that led to points deductions. Of course he's getting better results than the poor saps he succeeded. However, with new owners, another manager who can attract players is already an upgrade on Y-Fronts Moyes. Another manager who doesn't genuflect at the throne of Real Madrid Newcastle bloody United might also stand a chance of getting a few more results.

I'm finished with Moyes. Tonight's comments prove the leopard cannot change his spots. He couldn't rouse his players after a superb result and so falls back on knowing our place. He's not suitable to lead this club.

Which is probably a very popular comment tonight but a couple of wins on the bounce would change things quickly.

Moyes is a very good manager at this level. Bad post match comments tonight definitely but I don't think we're at that point where we say we don't need him. In fact, I think we're a decent way away from it.
