So what is the issue? There is a difference between a bit of good form and quality. We are obviously a better team now than when Moyes took over but the team needs to gel and become settled.

You also cannot make early judgements when every team has yet to play each other.

The issue is I was saying 13 months ago that a relegation placed Everton was nowhere near as good as Fulha were at the time.

How exactly is this Everton side “much better”? We have basically the same starting XI, and are without our £70m rated best defender by a country mile?

There’s exactly the same gap in quality between the two squads as there was when we played them last season. If we’ve improved massively then you must think Fulham have as well, adding Kevin, Chukwueze and bringing through a top talent in Josh King? And also not losing their best centre back for the season?
