2025/26 David Moyes

You had me there until you said Martinez is an inferior manager to Moyes.

WTF?!

But listen: he only ever got credit here in his first 11 seasons because he managed a club who's fans were desperate not to be relegated. A frightened fanbase. It was like the Stockholm Syndrome.

Second time round we were in exactly the same position.

However, things over the summer have changed DRAMATICALLY.

That stadium has been like a shot of adrenaline into the veins of Evertonians and the owners have put in £100M into the squad.

Our fans aren't going to be grateful anymore for this feller Moyes telling us how lucky we are to have him or put up with his dampening down of higher expectations.

He'll go next summer if we aren't pushing for Europe.
He didn't say that. He said far inferior. I'd add another far.

He's going to lose a lot of backers in our fanbase with a loss tonight.

I was hoping he changed but the last two games have showed me he hasn't.

What is beyond unacceptable making those changes last Tuesday for us to lose here.
You can’t change your character. He is what he is…questions to the club management

Moyes programme notes for tonight:

'We went to Anfield last weekend with a lot of confidence that we could get a positive result. It wasn’t to be...We came away from Molineux recently with three points from a Premier League match but unfortunately could not repeat that result in the Carabao Cup in midweek. We move on'.

Wasn't to be and we move on.

The hairs are standing on the back of me neck. Thanks Mr Motivator.

I'm a big fan of David Moyes and have huge respect for what he has achieved but I look at Fulham and can't help but think of where we might be if we kept Marco Silva. We played some lovely football under him and he has been fantastic at Fulham. They play excellent football

Probably exactly where Fulham are. I used to think the bloke was the unluckiest manager in the world at Everton but he’s just done exactly the same at Fulham. Every time you think he’s close to a defining victory he finds a way to create a hard luck story. I just don’t see him ever getting a team over the line in anything. The Origi goal against us was just prime Silva. He also cannot organise a team to defend a set piece to save his life.
