2025/26 David Moyes

He's a top striker and 2 full backs and at least one central midfielder short and that's just the first 11. It's a 16 player game these days and we're about 7 or 8 players short of a top 8 squad in that respect.
I'm a firm believer that goals cover up a lot of sins, we can be carrying a place or two if we can regular work chances to an ice in the veins finisher, but that composed swine of a player doesn't just turn up for free. I suppose it speaks to the powers of Ancelotti that he drew a finisher out of Cal-Lewin like he did, for that short time where everything worked out. All things considered I'd like to see Moyes unearth another Oviedo, a versatile and dependable utility man to be relied on. I think there's only chelsea in the league that can have specialist cover in every position somehow.

You're right, but against Wolves was completely indefensible.

Everyone's disappointed.

If you were reviewing and reflecting on it - im sure the management team would own up to the mistake, they made wrong calls in the management of the game.

Certainly also think they misread the public mood - which i have to admit has surprised me.

I think the RS singing about trophies and 95 last week - really hit home and was still raw come Tues and the aftermath.

i dont think we have particularly played well this season

v leeds - got battered for most of the game and never looked like we were going to score

v brighton - lucky not be 2-0 down by half time

v villa - never looked like we were going to score

v wolves - really poor defensive mistakes and wolves almost got an equaliser at the end

v liverpool - game was over after 30 minutes

its obviously going to take time for this new team to gel together and to find the right combination of attacking players that work well together

i just dont think based on the previous 5 games there is any reason to be confident that we will beat west ham convincingly on monday night

*we haven't played particularly well over a whole 90 minutes.

That's what you're meant to have said. Don't just spotlight the bad patches of games, also spotlight the good. Only game we've not had a really strong spell in so far was Leeds.

You'd think we were bottom of the league.

6 PL games he's lost since he arrived. Two at Anfield, one at City, one at Chelsea, away to Leeds and at home to Villa in his first game in charge.

There's posters on here would genuinely not be arsed if we burned through another 3 managers in the next four years, even though we all know it's generally a recipe for disaster stuff like that.

Changing managers has become the norm for a generation - we are on 9 in, in and around as many years, therefore for some changing has become the norm.

Overall in our history we change managers rarely.

Well, that's the scary thing though, isn't it. Because you know what else has been the norm over that time? Us being largely crap.

It's almost like some posters enjoy the turmoil.

Some also have very obvious agendas to push too.

Even if we were in the Champions League places and still in both cups, they`d still be looking for and finding fault in either Moyes / the players he`d signed or both.

Note also they way they pile in on both the owners and Moyes = agendas.
