2025/26 David Moyes

Yes. But, again, you didn’t answer the question, I said what if we sacked off the league for a cup, finished 17th & didn’t win the cup. Would you be happy with that season? Because that’s a different 90 mins away from Spurs last year.
It's really not that difficult, read my replies to Simon Buttle. I'm sure you can figure it out. I'll wait.

Interesting last season to see Postecoglou effectively put the league campaign second and putting all his eggs into the winning of the Europa Cup. He got some pelters from fans but I'd take that anyday of the week. Football is about winning trophies not finishing a few positions higher in the table.
Give me a break. Ange didn’t do that until he was already well into their worst league season in living memory. He lucked out in the end, but the damage had already been done and he got the bullet.

He has continued his bad form at Spurs over to Forest.

He consistently put out strong teams in the Europa, whether he got the bullet is irrelevant. That decision is down to Spurs management. You can dress it up anyway you like it, the fact is that he took a calculated gamble. That involved prioritising the league because he knew they weren't going to be relegated.

They got a trophy, got rid of Ange, got rid of Levy and brought in Frank, doubt many spurs fans are complaining now with the outcome.

Couple of quotes from him: “I made the decision after the transfer window that this was the trophy to go for. Everything I have done, from training to decisions, was to be for the best possible chance in Europe. That has come at a cost.”
Day before the Cup final: “Whatever happens beyond tomorrow is kind of irrelevant if you think about the opportunity that is presented for us right now … If I was worried about my tenure with this club, it's fair to say we wouldn’t be in this position because I would have been too distracted with unimportant things.”
He knew exactly what he was doing, he took a calculated gamble knowing he could get the sack. Whatever you think about him as a manager and the football his teams play, that takes guts.

Ange is just putting his spin on it. The fact is, things had deteriorated so badly in the league there was no other choice. And it’s not like they suddenly started performing badly in the league. They had been very poor domestically for a very long time, which is why he was shown the door.

He was lucky he faced Amorim, a manager who is perhaps even more incompetent than he is.

So does every other team. I can’t think of any club that will put out under strength teams in European competitions.

Nah that's your spin, he publically said he wins a trophy in his second season and he went all out to do it. They had a horrendous injury record to contend with, fact is he put his job on the line and he got a lot of stick for fielding some of the teams that he did in the league during the season. You may not rate him, that's fair enough but your argument doesn't hold water.

The simple fact is, he accumulated their worst points total in Premier League history.
