2025/26 David Moyes

Davey has not learnt his lessons from previous seasons.

For that reason alone, he’s not gonna make it here this time.
He doesn’t have a Bill this time, that’s a bad result for him that. He needs to produce in the league because I can’t see TFG tolerating a bottom half finish and limping out of cup completions as early as that.

As much as I agree with all that are saying it’s on Moyes tonight. I do agree with that.

But them players he picked who you’d of thought would want to prove a point, were all entirely useless & should be ashamed of that performance.

I'm up against a side desperate to get their season started. I know, I'll field my weakest 11.

I hope he gets sacked. About time standards are set from the top of the club. This competition provides the easiest route into Europe, and he's binned it off to try out players... The time for that is pre-season.

Take it on the chin, its essentially a brand new squad collectively, bound to be ups and downs.
I agree, I’ve just said in the match thread,
we all want success but it won’t happen overnight. We need to be patient.

We’ve gone from appalling managers and a mental owner to relatively level headed stability.

We need to build on that, and not throw our toys out of the pram after a cup exit.

From a sanity point of view it’s not healthy to swing to full-on negativity after a bad night.

superb mate

Are we succession planning yet?

Given our esteemed leaders let us take 13 players to a pre season tournament, I would hazard a guess at no.

Given what I just watched is exactly the same thing I’ve seen in multiple variations of the club since the 90s, I am just going to assume that we will 100% definitely not have our next choice of manager lined up when Moyes inevitably leaves the club.

Hopefully they’ll surprise me but regardless of new owners/stadium and some positives, I will continue to expect Everton to do Everton things, until they show me a couple of seasons in a row where they don’t!
