People really can’t get over something from over a decade ago can they?

Read between the lines and I think Moyes has gone through Thelwell's targets, picked a few he likes the looks of and we've signed them. Then there's players like KDH & Grealish that he's decided he wants. I don't believe for a minute that Kinnear has picked any targets and given that there's no head of recruitment in place we are left with Moyes picking all the players.

It's just a mess but let's be clear it's all on TFG for allowing Moyes to exert so much influence.

There's no world they should have allowed a) Thelwell and Purdy to leave ahead of this summer and b) Moyes to manage the transfers in their stead. Madness.

"We've really tried to bring some top players in this window, but a lot of them have turned us down for one reason or another. We're finding now that we're having to move down the ladder a bit to bring players in to 'do a job' and slightly shift the expectation to 'keeping the ship steady' for another season.."

On whether its been more difficult in the market this summer: -

"No, not really. We've got money there to spend."
