2025/26 David Moyes

It`s not even random rumours anymore, it`s just people making stuff, repeating it that many times, over that many pages, that eventually it becomes true = WE ARE SIGNING NINETY SIX YEAR OLD SOUCHEK, AS IT`S BEEN SAID THAT MANY TIMES ON GOT, IT MUST BE TRUE.

Never met an online fanbase so quick to convince themselves of bad things and then be bummed out. Like a bunch of Marv's from Hitchhikers

I mostly agree. On a free transfer he’d be a good squad filler though.
Perhaps.
I’m old enough to recall the Paul Power signing which is a supreme example of signing players ostensibly past their best who prove the scepticism wrong, ( very wrong in Powers case ).
However , I don’t think Soucek is as good as Power was and Moyes is definitely nowhere near as good as Kendall , in any of his iterations.
Even on a free there is still wage bill.
On balance I’d prefer we didn’t sign him.

When chasing a goal he’d be good impact sub.

Is anyone saying he’s flavour of the month? I’d call him a good premier league manager myself. You keep going on about his 12 games without a win, whatever.

He basically had his whole defence sold and had to replace it, and then his best player a window or so later, yet he has still consistently improved Bournemouth above and beyond their expectations, every year he’s been there, and got them into Europe this season.

It’s a great job he’s done imo, for the club of their size.
My point is that a large percentage of the support is calling for a new manager, any manager. As I said to another poster, would you honestly have been thrilled for us to sign Iraola last December when Bournemouth were on that 11 games winless run? If you look at Lampard's record as a manager on paper he looks a perfect fit. Played youngsters and got Chelsea into the CL got Derby into the pay offs promoted Coventry. But we know there's more to it than that. So if Iraola is going across the park, who's next for you?

Have any of the people who mock Soucek actually watch him play? He’s a very good player. Sure, his passing isn’t great, but he has the Cahill knack of popping up with crucial goals and is a warrior. Guys like Nolan, Cahill, Soucek are worth their weight in gold.
Only way he would be useful is if he was made of gold, chuck him in for scrap then and buy a decent footballer

Some of the Moyes haters conveniently forget that between the first week of November and late December Bournemouth went 11 games without a win. So if Moyes had been sacked before the January window how many would have been drooling over Iraola as his replacement then?
I don't hate him - he does not live up to our motto - Managers before him were sacked for that reason - A poster who I have forgot warned that the new owners were only in for BMD & in 12 months they would almost recoup all their outlay - the poster preferred the two rich Everton overseas investors - but the mess Mosh & BK had left the club in 777 admin etc etc - they had to pull the plug - I had hopes that with keeping Goodison Park going we would never play 2nd fiddle to Roma .....

Who ever purchased us would have problems - you have to blame the late BK & Moshiri for that - some of the loans they did I am surprised we survived - we did survive & the fans deserve a better brand of football & silverware - 31 years since we paraded a trophy in our city !

Worlds our oyster mate, we should and could recruit any manager we want.

Glasner would be first pick but some other names who would interest me.

Hoeness
Sage
Genesio
Conte
Gasperini 🤣🤣🤣 as if TFG would let us have him.

Instead, Let’s have no ambition and stick with a manager who’s scared of the champions league ffs.
