2025/26 David Moyes

….it’s a bit of a nonsense to say, ‘without two flukes against United and Villa’, I thought we were terrific in those games. You don’t mention losing points late to City, the RS and West Ham, never mind penalties against Arsenal and West Ham that VAR have accepted responsibility for.

Easy to highlight points gained, not balanced to not highlight points dropped, except it suits the agenda.

Next season will be exactly the same, we’ll win and lose points we didn’t deserve. Where you finish is about right.

I just think the criticism is way OTT.

David Moyes has won 3 things in a near 40yr career

2nd div promotion with Preston
Community shield man u
Conference league West ham

Look at the signings made at West ham where he spanked 400m, it was the start of the rot ( brilliant post on this forum about the numbers he wasted)... Why £100m of players not playing in our run in? It's the same thing happening...

Clubs rarely stagnate due to single mistakes, (albeit RS 450m splurge was pretty cringeworthy).

instead, they stall through the repetition and accumulation of smaller less spectacular, but consistent mistakes, like those I summarised.

Trading
Subs
Tactics etc

All of which impacted our entire season.

What in Moyes record of winning, the last season, and emergence of low debt 'smaller' clubs in euro places makes you think EFC are improving under Moyes?

And if we aren't, why he should stay?
