2025/26 David Moyes

Thing is if he just left now with his head held high after the ‘stable’ job he’s done we’d all have a lot of time and respect for that.

Instead his tenure will almost definitely descend into chaos; chants against him, banners, the lot. He needs to take a long, hard look at himself and wonder if he really wants to stay long enough that he becomes the villain.
Unfortunately he’s too arrogant and lacking in self awareness to come to this conclusion.

He probably thinks if he can get in his beloved Prem experienced dross then he can reward us with a magnificent 9th place. And you will be ecstatic with it.

I don't think he actually looks at in that way it seems to me that he thinks he is actually doing a great job.
People say he gets the club but I think it is the opposite he holds the fans in complete contempt.
Moyes will never step foot in BMD once his time is over and to be honest that's fine by me.
I have never held a grudge about the way he left the first time he done as he has always done looked after number one.
We owe him nothing get rid now or next season will be toxic and the thought of FKN extending his contract just leaves me questioning any sort of ambition by the owners.

Next season could definitely be toxic very early on, but I think you underestimate how quickly people would be pacified by something like 2 wins and a draw in the first 3 games.

Let's imagine first game Vs a promoted team, Hull could be, and a then lose . On Monday night of course.
will impact very different from this season's game against Leeds.

The thing that annoyed me the most in his post match press conference was that he commented on how the young players did well when they came on IN THE LAST 15 MINUTES OF THE LAST GAME after we all begged him for the last 5 months of the season to play them more. It's like the bit in the Harry Potter film when the minister for magic sees Voldemort and finally admits he exists after everybody else in the world already knew
He still threw in the caveat that Spurs were sitting back at the time just in case we criticise their criminal underuse

I still can't believe they gave Keane a pay raise. I get the extension no matter how unpalatable it may be. But a fn pay raise?

Why do we even watch us? Everything is just so so sad.
It reflects his new status as a starter. Remember when we kept him last summer and we were told not to worry, we'd only see him in cup games?

One more year. Fed up of changing managers, club having no identity. Get Europe, earns another year, doesn’t and is gone.
Lets see what stability gets us, yes we all want better, end of the season massive disappointment but sacking him and getting new manager in is a cost of a striker. A striker is more important than a new manager imo, but I guess most think glasner/irola would have our team in champions league (not a chance either would come) and believe if only they had more luck they would be millionaires.
Mate the new striker is going to be Liam Delap who Chelsea are begging us to buy, he might be the only striker worse than our two rugby players

Possibly, but it feels like something has fundamentally broken with the fanbase. Another seemingly false dawn aligned with the absence of any green shoots of progressive entertaining football means than patience has evaporated. It’s only a matter of time before Moyes reverts to type with his negative mindset and results suffer. And his surly, negative and dismissive attitude to the end of this season means he has little goodwill to protect him this time around

No, it's not. Moyes has one year left on his £5m a year deal, so if we sack him the worst case scenario is that it costs us £5m. Glasner and Iraola are available for nothing, zero pounds. Show me a striker in the last 3 years who cost £5m or less that scored more than nine goals (Beto's total this year).
