2025/26 David Moyes

Much as I have admired your robust support for Moyes as the season went down the toilet I can guarantee he won’t have learned from everything he’s not done. If anything he will double down.

The only time he changes is when forced, eg injuries, suspensions etc.
I was thinking this earlier. Based on his refusal to play the likes of Dibling, Aznou Alcaraz etc in favour of the older 'error free' footballing geniuses and it not working out might it change his mindset a little bit?
I have no doubt it wouldn't change anything he is so married to that mindset. Instead he will have convinced himself that we would've been relegated were it not for his rotationless wizardry

The larger the sample size means you stick them all together and get the average.
The totals are equally as damning as the averages but if it suits you better knock yourself out!
The larger sample size includes mitigating circumstances such as your 'losing best players' for periods of time and just shows his overall performance, which is progressively worse.

Just 3 more points than a relegated West Ham.

Wee Davey's the man.
Of course its not his fault.

The bin men went on strike just after christmas
The war in Iran
The fuel prices gone up
The pollen was high in May also

All mitigating factors to a poor 2nd half of the season for Wee Davey.

Happily dissatisfied, thank you Davey for such riches.

Everyone wants him out now, just some have backed him too deeply they won't admit it.

He's a dead man walking at this club, he won't see Christmas as an Everton manager.
Unfortunately we will have to rummage through the bin to see who's available when it happens.

Huge mistake not punting him now.
Thing is if he just left now with his head held high after the ‘stable’ job he’s done we’d all have a lot of time and respect for that.

Instead his tenure will almost definitely descend into chaos; chants against him, banners, the lot. He needs to take a long, hard look at himself and wonder if he really wants to stay long enough that he becomes the villain.

So true.

If he took an old school view and stepped down people would really respect him more and appreciate his work over the past 18 months.

On this calendar year one (which I’m not sure is exactly 19 games for each team so I’d like someone to confirm), west Ham have a substantially better 25 points in 2026! We’re 16th.

The thing that annoyed me the most in his post match press conference was that he commented on how the young players did well when they came on IN THE LAST 15 MINUTES OF THE LAST GAME after we all begged him for the last 5 months of the season to play them more. It's like the bit in the Harry Potter film when the minister for magic sees Voldemort and finally admits he exists after everybody else in the world already knew
