That press conference was horrible.
Talking down the club and making out that the season should be viewed as a success. Claiming we've played well, when we've been horrible for most of the season, refusing to acknowledge his own flaws, including dismissing the suggestion, which is abundantly obvious as a truth, that he has run the team into the ground. Dismissing the chances of youngsters. Blaming the team, when his selections have shown only inadequacy. Suggesting that our player of the season not going to the world cup is because of how the team has performed (a team he is responsible for) and refusing to accept that he has absolutely goosed Garner with his lack of rotation.
I even watched the first episode of this season of Welcome to Wrexham last night, and he turned up in that, in a pub telling their executives about the the dire situation of being in the Championship and handing out dour warnings!
He sucks all ambition and positivity out of the atmosphere like some kind of scientific miracle. He is the kind of person you would not want anywhere near your club if you want to build it for the better.
But hey, Angus the clown (and a big section of our fans) believe he provides stability. Those same fans then also moan when the media belittle Everton as a club and consider other clubs bigger than us. And also moan when clubs like Brighton, Brentford and Palace achieve more than us.
That is the Moyes effect. Get him gone.
