2025/26 David Moyes

Is he the only PL manager doing WC punditry?

I might be wrong (and there's no impact on summer transfers planning) but I can't help thinking it would have been better to swerve Talksport and just focus on summer transfers & pre season.

Maybe Carrick, Emery, Iraola et al are pundits on other channels, I don't know.

He’s probably got the arse as TFG haven’t starting talking to him about a new contract yet (hopefully)

Personally i think moyes was a victim of his own "success" really.

In the first half of the season moyes was playing rohl and dibling ect. But as we became challenges for a European spot. He stopped playing the fringe players that he felt he couldnt trust and started to fall back on premier league experience and that's what killed us.

Thats his issue if he feels like he cant trust a player. Then he wont trust them to come on in important games. So falls back on players like McNeil and keane. Neither of whom should be anywhere near this club let alone near the starting 11.

Also with regards to the squad i have a issue with signing players that have been relegated and we have alot of players that have been relegated.

Keane, McNeil, tarks, dibling, pickford, gana, kdh, ndiaye (technically), grealish and alcaraz.

Thats 10 players from the squad of 22 players used in the PL this season that have been relegated. I personally think thats a issue.

Obviously some good players have been relegated but when its near half your squad. I think that effects the mentality of the squad
That sounds plausible, but again the question has to be how will you develop players without giving them proper game time. Moyes' comment about them learning from watching blew my mind. Surely there is detailed and tailored video analysis for them to learn this way, and the coaching staff working with the players to work on areas of improvement.

For me Dibling crystallises the disconnect we have; he's not a right winger in the classic sense of up and down the line, more of a wide forward who drifts about, similar to a younger more mobile Grealish in that sense. Moyes expects wingers to be tracking back and helping out defensively more than a winger a a team set up to attack. Dibling isn't that guy, and shoehorning him in to this role blunts his abilities. That's before we get to the lack of overlapping fullbacks to help create the space. So why buy him if Moyes is the long term manager? Either you've wasted significant money on an expensive square peg or you have a plan to hire a manager/coach who suits this playing style (along with Aznou and others).

Questioning the lack of game time for Aznou, Siblings, Harrison and will they be sent out on loan if they're going together so little game time.

Is the drop off of form due to the lack of rotation and same players playing so many minutes
Man I'd love to have heard that answer. It'd be drivel, obviously, but at least SOMEONE is asking the question ffs.

What did he say?

What did DM say to that ?

He didnt like the question, said we've only played 40 games compared to the like of Villa who have played 60-70, so the players should be able to cope with the minutes they're asked to play.

Said the squad is too small as things stand to consider letting Aznou, Dibling or Harrison out on loan. Needed Harrison to come back for the first 6 games but then was behind Garner, Gueye, KDH so was always going to struggle to get a look in.
