Can we stop pretending that Moyes has done something amazing by not having us in a relegation battle this season? Yeah its the first time in about five years we haven't been in one. Its also coincidentally the first season in years where we've had money to spend and weren't in complete turmoil off the pitch. So let's not pretend that its all down to him. I'm not being blinkered here, he's obviously a way better and far more professional manager then Dyche ever was. But I'm pretty confident that we'd have been equally safe from relegation if he'd have had money at his disposal and a club that wasn't burning to the ground around him.

Only thing is imagine us doing that with Keane and Tarkowski. It always looks great watching other teams doing it and then you think about our players and just despair.

They were in the Championship! The manager played a big part but he only arrived because the squad was really good that they had in place. Gerrard was completely wasting them.

I’d bet decent money as well that regardless of who we bring in over the summer that Tarkwoski OBrien and Mykolenko all start the first game and it will be Branthwaite or if he’s not fit then Keane.

I’ll wager we buy a left back who either gets injured or needs to start on the bench, and maybe a young right back and Moyes just prefers OBrien. That will be it. Same useless lot as last season.

Midfield three will be the same.

Grealish and Ndiaye on the wings.

We might buy a new striker perhaps but not one that will move the dial.
