2025/26 David Moyes

Yeah of course every team makes mistakes and I agree even pep can't stop that.

But Moyes has sent us into the defining games of our season with Tarks and Keane partnered at centre back and thats ultimately cost us Europe. Everyone knows they can't work together. You and me both have seen enough to know that, Moyes has seen enough to know that. That is on Moyes.

….i think they’ve largely been a decent partnership. Funny nobody talks about the chances Ndiaye and KDH have missed in critical games on the run-in. Also, Moyes has really only had one window, he’s got us moving in the right direction.

Bottom line is, I’d be amazed if the people that matter don’t agree that he’s been exactly what we need to see us through a difficult transition. He’ll surely be here for at least another season, quite possibly more ;)

….ah, so we don’t post anything in here he says or discuss anything he says because everybody has a fixed view.

Bit of a pointless thread then unless we all just want to join the anti-Moyes camp and agree with each other :bye:
Struggle to see how I've said that at all really. I've just said to Matty that the point of the forum is to debate and disagree.

I was just pointing out that it is ultimately meaningless what comes out of Moyes mouth at this point as he's spent all season talking about raising expectations but hasn't backed that up with his own attitude.

And said it in the way I did as I feel like you often pop up in this thread not just posting quotes from the manager but saying alongside the quote something to the effect of 'there you go he's saying what you said you wanted'

With all due respect Eggs, if you think that they've been a decent partnership then I think we're too far apart in our experiences of reality to have any meaningful dialogue, so I bid you good day sir

Their manager was aset piece coach this time last year, the club lost its best 3 players in the summer and we have a manager with 20 odd years experience.

We should be not competing with Brentford we should be clear of them.
Some teams over perform and some teams underperform. Newcastle should be clear of us but they aren’t. So should Chelsea.

I like how we competed with the bottom of the premier league team in the League cup and how we done at home against a team that got promoted via the playoffs in the FA Cup.

UP THE MOYES.

No, that was clearly all on Moyesiah.

If we score off a corner, all on Moyes. If we concede, all on the players.
Conceding last minute is not his fault either.

I think he is only responsible for the first 80 minutes then its the players fault, btw for 45 minutes of them 80 minutes in almost every game we have been awful.

A generations comfort blanket is Mr Moyes

Well apparently you missed the memo that noone gives a sh$t how many points any manager gets between two random dates...it is how many points you have in the league, in the season your playing...end of.
2 random dates? That just comes across as a weak reasoned cheap shot. If you think it’s completely irrelevant that Moyes has more points in the last 16 months than Iriola, who we’d all take, then there’s simply no reasoning or debating with you. You’ve got it in for Moyes, won’t acknowledge he’s done it with worse players than Iriola has had at his disposal. It’s all agenda driven nonsense without reasoning or facts.
