2025/26 David Moyes

Well in our 3 repeat wins before this last slump McNeil was great so let’s try and not ignore parts of history to make your point.

Our whole squad should be rotated more but this whole “young players would hate to play under Moyes” is ridiculous. If you are good enough, you will play. Tyrique George is consistently getting sub minutes now because he’s looked half decent. Dibling has not.
Yet we spent over $40 million on him and he has not performed well in 5 minute cameo spots. Well considering we have a bench full of coaches, maybe one or two of them should take the time to figure out how to get him playing better, or are we going to assume that he cant actually play football at all and weve been conned...

Seems a bit of a contradiction, staying loyal to the ‘preferred’ starting players after the odd bad performance to breed confidence but give the younger players a few minutes & then bench them if they haven’t shone.

Alcarez (Palace), Rohl (Villa), Aznou (Sunderland) played, did enough ‘to earn the shirt’ & were then condemned to obscurity. His management of Armstrong has been nothing short of criminal.

Moyes treatment of the younger players & his negative approach & mindset really grate on me. If we were ripping it up in the league & playing great football I could live with it but we are doing neither.

The only positive this season is that we have not flirted with relegation but the opportunity presented by the new ownership & stadium & a decent spend plus 3 loans has been wasted.

I would also add that Moyes contention that 1 in 4 signings is success makes Thelwell a genuis!
This!

But then there’ll always be a step up from that too. Every club in the world sells players, Man City make fortunes from selling players. As a fanbase we need to move away from being scared of the idea of selling players or we’ll never ever be able to find a functioning model that works for us.
Dont have to be afraid of selling players if all the players you buy are over 30.

*taps nose*

Moyes did ok. He did his job. He stabilised the club.

Why is he still here?

All those who told us "we just need him to get us safe and stabilise us and then move on" are all of a sudden looking to persist with the comfy cardigan.

He did his job. Now the owners need to show us what they are really about.

Soucek and McGinn midfield it is.
He has done his job and the knee jerk reaction is to look for a newer model, but in reality with the squad we have and likely will next season it's difficult to name a manager who would improve our situation and more importantly who would come.

Mike's absolutely steamrolling some people in here.
