You keep saying develop the young players as though there's a guarantee it works. We could play Rohl, Dibling and Aznou most weeks then in 3 years time still have players who aren't good enough.

What was the point in forking out money on those 3 if you don`t intend to play them? We don`t need to spend that sort of money just to sit them on the bench and mostly never play them.

Yep. Part of football is squad management and Moyes handling of the squad has been absolutely stinking this season.

You are of course correct. None have been good signings so far and the manager has to take responsibility for that.

I just don't go along with the idea they should be playing all the time. If they're good enough then absolutely, but not just for the sake of it.

But the last two games encapsulates Moyes stubbornness, arrogance, dinosaur like approach in a nutshell.

Both matches could have had different outcomes if he had been more fluid in his management - bringing Barry on when Beto was injured was sheer stupidity. Starting him against West Ham is sackable.

Then of course there is starting JOB at RB, Gana playing 110 minutes, McNeil starting, and Keane receiving a one year extension - all proven that none of those work - but he just does it again, and again and again.

Time to jump on the bandwagon breakfast boy.

….i’ve posted that he should’ve freshened things up, but I’m not turning on him because he hasn’t. Believe it or not, all managers have a stubborn streak, a few years ago somebody involved in the RS hierarchy for a long time told me ‘managers are on an ego trip, it’s part of their persona’.

Don’t think another Manager will come in and all of a sudden everybody will agree with his team selections. We go into our jobs on a Monday, be it on building sites, in offices, in shops all with a view that we know more than professional football men. It’s part of the attraction but it’s been a good season (for me), nice to have a few signs of the good times.

I wind up but I don’t see Moyes here in the long-term but forgive me if I’m old enough to not join the popular view after two (or three ) defeats.

….a few weeks ago we’d beaten Chelsea and drawn at Brentford, he’s being lauded. A week ago, George is being dismissed after a disappointing cameo in the Derby.

A last minute defeat, followed by another at West Ham. Forgive me for not jumping on the bandwagon just yet.

….sounds like the RAWK ‘alternative league’ , you haven’t counted that we were one minute from a draw last week.

The likelihood is you’ll get your 3 defeats next week but I don’t think that’s a certainty.

Point taken, but I said he was not good enough when he was appointed - yes I am disappointed that I was correct, just like Keane (he will cost us points this season and next) - anyway, back to work on Monday.

I imagine they meant to buy people who would actually play a part, something has clearly gone seriously wrong with Dibling and Rohl. I'd argue you could understand Aznou's situation if it was just him, but because it's all of them it only makes it look worse.

You could tell something was off with Dibling in that Mansfield game, and it's only ever got better by a miniscule amount. The club will know pretty much instantly if it's a Per Kroldrup horror signing, hoping he can play his way out of it seems like false hope. Someone has to carry the can for it anyway.

….i think his appointment has proven to be a good one, I certainly think the owners will be happy given our predicament when he came in. New owners, new ground, fighting relegation, so many players out of contract last summer. Difficult period of transition he’s had to work through.

He was brought in to provide stability, he has done that. I think it's mission accomplished for Moyes now. In the unlikely event that we qualify for Europe, he should be given next season. If however, he does not, then I think that, provided we have a replacement lined up, we should probably thank him, wish him well for the future and move on this summer.
