2025/26 David Moyes

Wrong.

You're talking about players sold and bought while he was here.

The sales of the players he brought in and sold later after he left are more than what he spent on the players he brought in.

*sigh*

What? No, it doesn’t work like that. You can’t credit him with someone else selling players 5 years down the line. Have you done a calculation for Moyes and how much profit we made from his signings? Because I assume you’ll want to stop short of crediting him with selling Fellaini and Stones for a net profit of about £70m.

…..glad the player agrees with me and not one of his detractors;

What really do you expect a player to say when questioned about his manager.. Surely you know that !!

Garner was a great player before Moyes walked in the door, and yes Moyes did help him, he took the rope off his neck.

Garner got an England call up, It was his Thread, his moment, he should get the praise..
Not Moyes, It wasn't his moment..

because Martinez is a superior manager to Moyes.

You haven't thought your argument through.

Which season? I assume you’re not talking about season after they w 44on league as they didn’t finish following season with same manager so that wouldn’t fit the criteria.
Now I'm going have to look, when it was just a quick response to a post..

2015/2016 - 81
2016/2017 - 44 ( Ranieri got sacked with 13 games left on 21pts )

That looks a hell of a lot worse now you've made me look it up..

Parker is more the issue with Burnley Dave, they might not have a squad but they do have a few decent players there. Esteve the CB would make a decent squad player if we do get Europe, he will stay in the PL imo along with a few others they have, the Dutch FB and Fleming up top.
You could have Jock Stein and Rinus Michels managing Burnley and they'd still get relegated!

No Rory Smith please. Spent all season blaming Villa for not breaking the glass ceiling as spending recklessly apparently, defender of PSR to save his Reds vs the wicked Man City challenging them...and oh there are a lot of reasons....

One of the gripes I have with DM was his team selection at Wolves in the League Cup by playing Seamus at left back and dropping Jordan. Disaster resulted predictably.
But nutty selection by dropping your best goalue was repeated by Arteta yesterday and Igor Tudor away against Athletico. Why do they do it?
To give squad members a game
Kepa had played every round of the league cup as far as I’m aware
