I hope Davey sends Mr Barry packing in the summer.
Delap would be a nice replacement.
I’m not sure.
This season he has 1 goal against an XG of 3.
Barry has 6 goals against an XG of 6.
I hope Davey sends Mr Barry packing in the summer.
Delap would be a nice replacement.
Well of course it isn't.Arsenal have lost 10 home games in the last 4 years. 2 against City and 1 against Liverpool. So 7 defeats by lesser clubs in about 72 games. Beating them at home isn't simple you dunce.
piley on cryingNot really, it`s pretty much the same win, lose or draw, the piley on just lessens a bit after a win.
The hardcore even moan " that we didn`t win right " when we win.
Tha's it, i'm cancelling any plans for next wkend.I reckon Moyes starts Barry against Chelsea to troll everyone. He'll say he's a "good boy" when asked about awayendticketgate in the press conference.

Its not just the amount of money spent though is it, its also about the money wasted on dud players, it might not be a lot of money to the so called big clubs but it is to us.Whatever anyone’s opinions of Moyes are, we really have to stop pretending that 110million is a lot of money to spend in the premier league these days. It is an incredibly lower mid table amount to spend.
110 was wasted.110 is sod all
It's all relative. For Everton, in terms of recent history, it's a huge amount of money. In terms of the league as a whole, when you look at what others net spend was, it's still quite a lot of money. The money we spent in the summer wasn't the sort of figure that was going to catapult us into the title race, but we shouldn't downplay it too much, over £100m net spend isn't to be sniffed at and I doubt it's something we'll be repeating very often.Whatever anyone’s opinions of Moyes are, we really have to stop pretending that 110million is a lot of money to spend in the premier league these days. Gizza a bullseye lad.110 is sod all
It's not typical for an PL club to have so few first team players at the start of a summer window. The net spend number for last summer needs to take into account years of underspend and mismanagement. It's all relative. For Everton, in terms of recent history, it's a huge amount of money. Yeah of course, it obviously doesn't tell you the whole story but it's certainly worth taking into consideration when looking at this summer's spend. Some people seem to want to dismiss what we spent entirely and just hide behind the fact that some teams spent more, but ignoring the context seems pointless to me (some of that context being that on top of the headline figure of spending we also brought in a player who cost £100m not that long ago and has a £50m option and eyewatering wages).Net spend is a bit wonky though to be fair.
You can spend £100m and sell nothing, or spend £200m and recoup £100m - both scenarios you have the same net spend but one scenario has brought in more and/or a better calibre of player to your squad.
It depends what you mean by taking it into account. Obviously we all know about what's been happening in recent years - I even said it in the post you're replying to - but when looking at season on season progression, no you don't need to look at how much we spent 5 years ago because that's irrelevant. It's not typical for an PL club to have so few first team players at the start of a summer window. In terms of repeating, I would expect it to be repeated this summer.
