2025/26 David Moyes

Funny, where did I say that
Go on then, I'm interested . What should we have done today - result wise ? Considering we had our 2 first choice central defenders out .

In more depth, where should we be in the league ? I'd love us to be in the top 6 but unfortunately we are where we are. I get frustrated with Moyes at times, but from taking over from Dyche, he's done a solid job

I’m not a Moyes fan but he is a master at setting up teams to defend & to try to score on the break. Unfortunately for us that will only get you so far.

Think the only thing he got wrong was the subs, it’s hard work for the midfield to put in that amount of defensive work & to also support the attacker. Ndiaye didn’t close down the cross for the first goal but he & KDH looked dead on their feet for the last 15/20 minutes. He really needs to use the full 5 subs allowed in these situations.

It is usual in these types of games for the defensive team to create less & less as the tiredness creeps in & I did wonder if bringing George on for the last 20 minutes would have helped.

Did I deny he's done a solid job anywhere? Or is it because of that that he's beyond ANY criticism and we should only praise and kiss his feet?

We played for a 0:0 today in the entire second 45 with no intent EVER to go forward, that's on him after the fantastic 1st half, which is obviously also his doing, well done. See, give and take.
We have players out of position for no reason, subs were crap and too late or like for like in the case of Beto/Barry. The players out of position having no positional sense cost us the 1st goal as much as Pickford did.

He's doing very well overall and despite that he's still his biggest limitation and always will be. But, we already knew that. Doubt we get Europe as we'll bottle it when it matters, even in a league this weak.

If the future of the club is going to depend on promoting youth and development of young prospects, then he’s really not the guy to lead that project imo

Would he show the same faith in that lad as Arsenal do? I doubt it

Harrison Armstrong is getting splinters in his bum despite showing promise

Moyes is a good manager and I can’t knock the job he’s done of stabilising us, but I’m increasingly unsure if he’s the right one for where the club is trying to go

Its always the same complaints:

Players out of position
Poor subs
Not using youth

At this stage of the season I wonder what his thoughts are on Aznou, Dibling and Armstrong and their roles next season + development plans.

Others like Alcaraz, Barry and Rohl who are all going to be his signings for a grand total of £60mil dont seem to be favoured at all by him.

What happens if were able to sign Endrick for a centre forward option, Lewis-Skelly at left back or another top notch u21 player this summer

Are the players going to want to join?
Would Moyes even use them?

We should be thinking about the young players who could force their way into the 11 or excited about those who can be great rotation options and watching them develop.

Instead, were not seeing anything at all and who knows if he had his way, they could all be sold in the summer.
