Are you telling me the only reason Doucoure and Gana's failure to spearhead an Everton tika-taka game is sequential managerial failures?
Very interesting, let’s visit the Dyche threads and see if he thought it was a coaching issue back then.

That's not really a big change in tactics though, that's a click of a switch, changing from a low block to a quicker counter. There isn't a PL standard player who hasn't played in a variety of different systems in their 'journey' to become a professional player - they wouldn't reach that level if they couldn't adapt.
If you're arguing against that very obvious and correct point then you live in an abstract world where footballers just go through their careers playing one of 'direct' / 'pressing' / 'passing' football.
In fact, different styles are expected off players from game to game, and even within game, in the PL. Look at how we can go from a low block counter attacking game to one where we push up and get on the halfway line and our best players on the ball.
But as said, you and others can just keep peddling your abstractions to justify Moyes if you like...
He largely went to Villa because Monchi was there and now he has gone, Id expect Emery's services would be highly desired if he walked, we would struggle to compete imo.
Are you saying Evertonians can’t appreciate decent football????? wow just WOW.
Not necessarily, we may not of drawn Port Vale for startersQF place we'd have now...
School of Science once, still in my memory, Ball, Harvey, Kendall.
Reid, Bracewell Sheedy & Steven was too shabby either.
Happy days, how far we have fallen![]()
Be fascinating to know what percentage of this forum were not even born before that quartet of Reid Bracewell Steven and Sheedy.
You saying fans born after this quartet are the reason we haven't won a trophy since 1995.
Harsh but I'm 100% behind this.
Nah we would have got them and lost again. Dodged that bullet at least. #thanksgafferNot necessarily, we may not of drawn Port Vale for starters
They were our Ian Bogie teamNah we would have got them and lost again. Dodged that bullet at least. #thanksgaffer
Happened last month too. Coincidence?!It was a full moon this week.
Coincidence?
Fair enough I must have been mistaken on that.Hmmm,
Monchi joined Aston Villa after Unai Emery. Emery was appointed head coach in October 2022, while Monchi joined as President of Football Operations in June 2023
