2025/26 David Moyes

In the 14 years Post WW2 Everton's average position was 18.6th until John Moores became involved. What followed was brilliant but without the scale of investment it would never have happened. It has become a double edged sword which is used by some fans to beat others over the head about ambition, standards, NSNO etc and does nothing to actually help the club build and progress.

Colin Harvey 4th - 8th - 6th before being sacked in Nov 90 when we were 18th. Kendall came in and we finished 9th in 91. In following 12 years we had 1 top half finish (6th 1996) under Joe Royle until David Moyes in 2003 who had 8 top 8 finishes in 10 years.
But anyone can do a better job, apparently. Especially if they wear tasteful knitwear and have designed stubble.

Yes no other Manager is capable of leading Everton to glory at this stage in time , the Moyesiah while playing for a dismal Cambridge side in 80s saw a sign from the heavens the locker room that one day , his destiny would be to lead Everton back to the promised land of champions League......

Ecstatic with the outcome , will applaud Moyes for instilling some resilience into the squad, the set pieces looked less jumbled and better executed than the last couple of matches. He made slight alterations but his willingness to drop Keane benefited us by injecting mobility into the center of the back line. I thought we were effective in nullifying the threat of Elanga and Gordon most of the game.
Although I felt the lineup once again felt disjointed in attack , Gana starting affects the shape as he roams with no structure and should not be constantly on the ball as he lacks the skill set , also he is midfielder why he is continuously on the wing near the sideline, leaves us exposed. Other than Moyes predictable striker swap waited forever to make further changes and when he did , it was Armstrong as a winger which is not an ideal position I'm tired of this old kung du master type trials that a young player has to endure before they can play at their natural position also we had Garner and KDH both with yellow cards but he was too obstinate to bring in tim or Rohl earlier in the match, as those players are untouchable (Also I know KDH was subbed but it wasn't almost until the end of regular time) that was a major gamble. He needs to use his bench more.

I just hope he actually rotates the team for Tuesday or the dismal home form will continue

I thought we'd get a draw at least but fantastic to grab the win like that. Couldnt catch the game tho. Pickford must have been on cloud nine after pulling off that save Vs them.

Moyes meh. I'm not seeing anything unexpected. The rage around him doing normal Moyes things in press conferences and with his team sheet I don't get, he is who he is. But also anybody who absolutely loves the guy I don't understand at all. The calling each other out after each win or loss is a very tiresome read.
