2025/26 David Moyes

No just get a manager who
Understands football in 2026.
I’d take the Bournemouth mananger every day of the week
He'd be a fool to join us and torpedo his managerial career. He'd do well to last a season before everyone turns on him. This club is the last place a young aspiring manager would want to go. They'd have half the fanbase against them the second we hit a wall.

Said it for a while we’ll finish 8th-12th and give Moyes a golden handshake at the end of the season, we might scrape a Euro place on away form but either way we’d have a more solid baseline for the next man to come in
Agreed. I'm disappointed but not surprised that it's petering out now. He's done his job. Let's see if these Friedkins are remotely ambitious and competent enough to appoint somebody who might take us past that glass ceiling.

So im guessing the general consensus is "Moyes produced masterclasses at Man Utd, Villa and Fulham" but "nothing Moyes could do about tonight or our home form, all on the players on the pitch".

You could point out that HIS guy Barry is sh$t.
His thinking that Myko deserves to be pencilled in at LB EVERY week, his thinking that JOB, who turns like an oil tanker is a great choice at RB, and that GANA deserves to play every minute of every game with fit midfielders on the bench have ZERO effect on the performances on the field.
Pointing that out would be bed wetting heresy to some on here. Oh well.
Off to wet the bed. Will read the usual excuses about steadying the ship, unreal expectation folloeing another home FLOP against a team below us tomorrow.

NSNO.

I'd forgotten Silva. And the order of our managers. Yeah, the post-Silva era has been a graveyard for togger.
Funnily enough, matching Moyes's results but playing a bit of football while doing it would be a serious improvement. What we have right now is a grind. It doesn't have to be quite as ugly in what is supposedly an entertainment industry.

Hope this knocks some of Moyes lover boys down a peg or 2. We’ve been poor for weeks. Tonight another example of his woeful in game management. The only positive he’ll take from this is the fact he’s got 2 weeks to decide which player he wants to shoe horn into right back now Jake’s suspended. Not a good night at all
Tbf, this one slipped through our fingers, Barry missed two sitters and their keeper made a couple of decent saves. However you are right in that recent results has masked pretty poor form
