2025/26 David Moyes

At which point you would advocate playing second string sides to focus on the league.
Most clubs don’t have the depth to compete in the league cup and the league. When you get to the quarters on the superclubs bring their first teams to bear.

I think the League Cup should be some kind of under 21 tournament with maybe up to three seniors allowed or something.

Europe is different its big money and more prestige. The League Cup doesn’t generate good income for the club.

See. @matty1878

There are still lots of things that frustrate me about him but to go from where we were to this is impressive

Hate to point out the obvious that we’ve played a game more than everyone else in this view and 2 games more than some..

It’s still decent top half form but the comparison is only worthwhile id everyone’s played the same number

Europe? As a minimum expectation? Get in the bin Zat

Young players seem to be getting a chance if they are impressing Moyes in training. Armstrong, Barry. Even George got off the bench a few days after signing

Ive said the same all season.

Either he plays the young players like Dibling & Aznou. Then they are being developed ready for next season.

Or he gets europe.

If he fails at both then whats the point?

George was on for Armstrong who was better than Gana. Doesnt pick players on merit.

Moyes has taken us from a relegation candidate every year to a current European place spot, having had by far our most valuable defender out for more than half the season, our best attacking player missing 6 games for the african nations, one of our other best attacking players Dewsbury hall missing the same 6 games, they return and our other good attacking player breaks his foot. Not once this season have we been able to field our best team.

Yet we are currently 7th, not sure if the Moyes haters have completely forgotten how bad we was in the last few years but to go from what we have suffered through in the last few years to this right now and still wanting him gone is just mental to me.
It's not as polarised as that. You can enjoy today's win,be happy that we are 7th but still wonder why he stubbornly plays players out of position, and continues to pick players who aren't playing well. Given the number of members on the forum very few want to see him sacked.

The point is to compete. By this measure what is the point of 99% of football clubs?!
