The problem with the "remember where we were 12 months ago" line is it has an expiry date. In a few weeks time, we'll be remembering hammering Leicester, getting a last-minute equaliser in the derby, playing United off the pitch and drawing with Arsenal - and all this at home with a far weaker squad.

People can say the results are par for the course - and they are, excluding the cups. But the home performances are off a cliff. Being great on the road is unsustainable, and we have Liverpool, United, and City all to come to Everton Stadium yet...

The most infuriating thing is you know full well McNeil and Gana will be starting next match. Wouldn’t surprise me if Keane is back in as well.

If Keane is back in the side at any point in the remainder of the season, put my name at the top of the Moyes Termination petition.

So he changes the formation at HT which encourages attacking full backs but leaves the LEAST most attacking full back on the pitch in Mykolenko?!

Surely Aznou was better suited?!

Mind boggling, and the type of decisions he’s been making his whole career.

Which will eventually lead him to losing the job

The only way 5 at the back works is with fullbacks and 2 upfront.

We went 5 at the back and played Gana as a number 10 behind Barry and didn’t go two up front at any point.

At one point we had Ndiaye Garner Mykolenko Branthwaite and Gana all stood on the left wing.

But the performances have been shocking.

Terrified of playing at home.

They've been shocking performances. Even that second half once Leeds went to back 4 we meekly saw the game fizzle out

Poor setup to start the game, wasn’t stubborn and switched it up at half time, played miles better. Still need to improve on this shocking home form though.

At least Dyche didn't let his players wear gloves..... We have some amount of lads going around the place like it's the artic circle. Dibling looks like he's on the verge of hypothermia.

If he throws this type of home performance in the derby against possibly the worst Liverpool team there’s been for a decade he’ll be inviting massive pressure.

You can’t throw both the cups like he did and then produce these type of home performances. I know the away record is good but fans have paid 100s to watch the team play at home and we must be tracking now close to Martinez’s worst home record.

Weird that we were so surprised by how they played. Got battered for so long. Could have tried to just smother and kill the first half and get in at nil nil. A more commanding captain should maybe trying to do this when we are so clearly mismatched.

But then again if we weren’t losing, would Moyes have have made those big changes in shape and personnel? Probably not.

I just can’t get over hearing about how they spent all week looking every detail of Villa to form a plan to negate their strengths and play to ours with no players available. And it worked brilliantly. And the very next game we look like we didn’t even know who the opposition was.
