Utterly ridiculous. Just pick whoever you feel is doing the best out of the under 21s (if he ever watches them) and put them on the bench. Even if you've got no intention of playing them it has to be good experience for them and better than having 2 keepers or not using all your subs. It's pathetic, and he's not the first manager of ours to do it.

He also has about 6-7 more years experience in the league.
So you'd expect that wouldn't you?
Why is that expected? You never seen a young lad in a crap team put up good numbers before?

Does it happen often that an 18 year old in one of the crappiest relegation outfits going puts up better numbers than experienced midtable players?
There's usually not many promising 18 year olds starting in those teams to begin with ad they typically defer to experience in those relegation battles and don't trust youth.
Would you rather be setting up DCL or Beto who scored 8 last season or Adam Armstrong or Ben Bereton Diaz? I think I know who'd be more likely to help me rack up assists.
