2025/26 David Moyes

Don’t all managers have final say in transfers…
No not really, some have DOF/transfer committee who buy players, maybe they would be called a coach and maybe it’s more of a European thing. I think there needs to be a balance between the whole transfer set up, also ling term if a committee is picking the players they can target managers who have a similar philosophy. If we let Moyes dictate this summer, do we replace him with a similar manager( disaster) or if we go for someone completely different, he may need to change half the squad

Don’t believe the bobble, that’s up to you but I believe him.
Moyes was available, no compo, no fighting with another club for their manager , the knowledge of the prem of the club, he was a an easy appointment. I suppose we will see how much he’s their man if he gets a new deal.

You posted that the Bobble said TFG would have appointed him in the summer - if there is an error you made it.

The administration at the time wanted Potter mate, they even spoke to his people, TFG intervened and brought in Moyes.

We were 1pt above the relegation zone.

Don't use hindsight and look a fool.
Mate he left on 17 points 26 got you safe we had all the bottom 3 the worst bottom 3 in history all to play at home. We were never in danger, TFG weren’t sacking him, so they obviously didn’t feel we were in danger. Dyche basically went to them and said he’s gone as far as he can

Well done mate, this is called hindsight.

We were 1 point above the drop zone after half of the season.

To say ‘we were never in danger’ is the absolute epitome of hindsight.

Having the 3 worst teams to play at home is no guarantee for us either - we’ve played 2 of them this year and not won either. And we’ve lost to Luton Town and Sheff Utd sides that were relegated by miles.

Wouldn’t have sorry, yes a mistake on my part . But that has been posted before and by others on here, not really something most people didn’t know

We were 5 points from safety a few years before with about 8 games to go and survived. If you don’t think dyche was not getting us 9 points in the final 18 games then so be it.
