2025/26 David Moyes

We all know how this goes, I'll suggest Le Bris and you'll call him the flavour of the month, or I suggest Glasner or Ancelotti and you'll say they won't come here, or I'll suggest someone from the Bundesliga and you'll call me a hipster and say that the Bundesliga is very different from the PL. Essentially, I'll suggest anyone that isn't Moyes and you'll find a way to say it's a bad idea or that it's too big a risk. It's as tedious as it is predictable.

Let me ask you a couple of questions. Are you enjoying watching Everton at the moment? If not, do you think Moyes bears any responsibility for what we are watching? Do you think David Moyes will win anything at Everton at any point? Do you think Everton should aspire to win things?

you wanna go back to last year?
year before?

year before?

year before?

oh wait

because we’ve been a MESS

i give up with half of you
Oh yes you’re right, we haven’t waited out our mandatory ‘sorting’ period. Because that’s how it works, set times before you’re allowed to succeed. Thank god Leicester never got the memo, they’d have one less premier league in the cabinet. Forest are in Europe currently, thank god they never got the memo after relegation scraps.

We’re shackled to being losers. So long as this mentality exists in the fanbase, we’ll be losers forever.

I wasn't making a case for or against Moyes, I just wonder who out there would improve us and/or be available and willing to come. I mean, last summer Thomas Frank was highly regarded, now Spurs are apparently on the point of sacking him.

so your a loser is this what your saying?

I just said in another thread the warning signs are already there.

Gueye and Tarkowski not going to be regular starters as age catches up, full backs and strikers among the worst in the league and Brainthwaite has injury problems.

Leaves us with Pickford, Garner, Ndiaye and KDH with any real quality as starters together with a bunch of young players. You get the next couple of transfer windows wrong it's easy to start drifting down the league again.
I think we are in a lot of trouble unless we bring in proper competent recruitment experts

I have about as much faith in our scouting system as I do in England winning the next ashes series in Australia

Going into this summer there can't be any more Dibling and Barry signings. They have to be ready to do it from the off. Not in 18 months or 2 years time.

this may be one of the saddest things I’ve ever read. What’s the point of turning up to the game? The manager isn’t here to actually achieve anything, just consolidate the mess. Turns out we’re the mugs for wanting to see us win something. Sorry
It's a business at the end of the day, but the way things are going can't see 54 000 lumping up their hard earned cash to watch this long term. Take note Texans.

I know Moyes is missing players, as are many of the premier league clubs, but we weren’t that great when they were available apart from a couple of halves. It’s more stark now that there is no system or plan apart from plan A,hoof it up to a lone striker or give it to Grealish. There has got to be more to coaching a team than that.
