Indeed, it might not all be Moyes's fault, but it's the lack of accountability for any of it that (rightly, imo) winds up fans.

Today was not entirely Moyes fault , but we all knew it was coming as of the other results this week.

Most fans could do just as good a job scouting players as the Everton recruitment team.

Next Sumner will be a complete mess again if we domt replace everyone involved last summer. I can't stress enough how far last summer has set us back. We finally had money and we blew it. As we've already learned the hard way, it takes 3 or 4 years to fix 1 year of rubbish recruitment.

I think we are in trouble next year with this squad and probably no Grealish.

A striker who can actually contribute and score a few would instantly lift the team from where it currently finds itself.

Neither of our current strikers are fit for purpose.

Somehow we need to magic up another Kevin Campbell from somewhere.

We all know how this goes, I'll suggest Le Bris and you'll call him the flavour of the month, or I suggest Glasner or Ancelotti and you'll say they won't come here, or I'll suggest someone from the Bundesliga and you'll call me a hipster and say that the Bundesliga is very different from the PL. Essentially, I'll suggest anyone that isn't Moyes and you'll find a way to say it's a bad idea or that it's too big a risk. It's as tedious as it is predictable.

Let me ask you a couple of questions. Are you enjoying watching Everton at the moment? If not, do you think Moyes bears any responsibility for what we are watching? Do you think David Moyes will win anything at Everton at any point? Do you think Everton should aspire to win things?

We were told by Kinnear that Moyes declined the majority of players brought to him by the recruitment team. If these three made it through who else exactly where the recruitment team suggesting?!

Ultimately though questions need to be asked of the recruitment, there’s no DOF to blame now, the manager signed off on all the signings, yet if everyone is fit its maybe only KDH Grealish and Barry that start, and that’s just because there’s no better option than Barry at the club. If DCL was still here he’d still be playing.

I just said in another thread the warning signs are already there.

Gueye and Tarkowski not going to be regular starters as age catches up, full backs and strikers among the worst in the league and Brainthwaite has injury problems.

Leaves us with Pickford, Garner, Ndiaye and KDH with any real quality as starters together with a bunch of young players. You get the next couple of transfer windows wrong it's easy to start drifting down the league again.

No N'Diaye, Gana, KDH, Grealish, Branthwaite, Keane, Alcaraz or Irroegbunam.

Always gonna be a tough ask to get anything with the squad this depleted.
Really bad performance today, but we can't ignore just how many players we have missing.

How many players from today’s starting XI would get into our first choice XI, if all fit? The answer is 2-4, depending on opinions.

Well we should be more attractive to more managers now just by virtue of the fact that they know the owners aren’t going to be replaced imminently. Which top manager takes a job under Moshiri when they know he’s selling the club at any moment and the new owners might not want you? Never mind everyone knew we didn’t have a pot to pee in.

We have stable ownership, money, no PS&R issues, I’d argue we are significantly more attractive to a manager now than we were under Moshiri.

Sorry, I may have misunderstood your original point. I agree we should be much more attractive now, unless we plummet down the league in the next few months.

It's a tremendous failure by the club and the CEO who set up this new way of doing things.

People love to throw around net spend figures for last summer but the fact is what was signed was largely crap and KDH and Grealish don't outweigh their crapness either.
