2025/26 David Moyes

He won't go in the summer, it'll be the year after. Hopefully with 2 seasons of top half finishes under his belt.

As frustrating as it is, we're not in the [Poor language removed] we've been in for the last 5 years so there's zero chance of any change. And nor should there really.

The team wasn't great, it's had a load of new players added to it and will need similar this summer.

We'll do well in games where our backs are against the wall but won't offer much going forward. Certainly without Ndaye and KDH in the team.

Lack of proper fullbacks are absolutely killing this team, and it'll remain that way all season.

I'm not a fan of Moyes and wanted him gone long before he did in 2013 but there needs to be some realism here.
Too many are happy with his mediocrity ,not me .

Still huffing about Keane’s red card. Ballon. Making a fool of himself. How can a guy laid millions a year to manage a football team not know the rules or how referees are trained to interpret situations? Fine that football fans don’t, even some of the stupid lazy pundits but a guy

i think you’re probably right. Sign two fullbacks in the summer and a centre forward and it transforms the team. I’d be absolutely amazed if we don’t sign those positions.

It was never a one window job. Reckon Moyes is 💯 here next season. Also reckon if we sign those positions we’ll improve again.

He’s frustrating me, same way he always has But he’s it getting sacked.

Don’t understand this realism. Why do u need to stick with Moyes for 2 top half finishes?

We are, and 4 points off 5th with arguably 4 of our most important players coming back over the next few weeks.

Not sure where I said we're in the top half right now and will stay there for the rest of the season, but crack on
We are thankfully in a decent points position in the table - however, we aren't that far away from 15th if results continue to be poor.

The worry for me is that each time we've had the opportunity to go 5th, we've not taken it by producing really poor performances.

Generally, we've addressed it the next game, but we lost badly to a team with a poor away record and we haven't been able to bounce back in the last home game with the opportunity to do so against a team who haven't managed double figures by December.

This is one of the most disingenuous arguments for Moyes, it ignores there are 7 teams between us and 5th place, all of whom have better goal differences.
Vault me, but we not sit in 5th place for the rest of this season and I’ll be surprised if we go higher than 9th when everyone is on the same games played.

Its a shame that we have dropped 6 points this season to the teams that are well adrift in the bottom three, two of those games we dropped points were at home.

We're not going from fighting relegation for 5 years to finishing in the top 6 over 1 summer.

Changed a [Poor language removed] load of players, squad nowhere near what's needed and moved into a new ground.

Not sure where I come across as happy, but a dose of realism is needed.

I agree, but my expectations for this season were basically somewhere between 8th and 12th depending on how injuries went (and they've not been too kind to us).

It's fine to get frustrated at individual games and decisions etc and that's what being a supporter is about at times, but if you're judging him properly you do it on the whole season and whether he's achieved whatever the goals were (accept these will be slightly different for everyone but I'd want a robust argument from someone as to why we should be qualifying for Europe this season if that's their expectations).
