2025/26 David Moyes

If he gets us to an FA Cup final, he gives himself every chance of staying on - even if the team is 12th. A cup final would be huge for this club and give those owners a day in the sun. I'm not convinced they are quite as ambitious - and therefore, demanding - as we might want them to be.

Agree they hardly went big in the summer with the spends. Not when you compare to other teams and consider what we needed.

Definitely some players who aren't good or consistent enough but it's disappointing when teams like Sunderland and Brentford seem to be able to keep up some sort of momentum.

Every chance we end up on the same points as both of them in midweek. I was very impressed by Brentford today though. Didn't expect them to be as good as they were, which probably also suggests we were miles off it.

Davey doing what Davey does, that’s why we will never kick on or win anything under him.

To mess with a winning back four is just criminal - if it was to get Branthwaite back in I can understand, but he does it to get Keane back ffs.

He’s done a great job since coming back after what Dyche left him with, but today and not taking the other opportunities we’ve had show us what he is.

A safe pair of hands that more than capable of dropping the baby on its head a few times a year.
To be fair that winning back 4 only kept a clean sheet because Forest players consistently fluffed their lines wasting some excellent chances.

They rode their luck against a very wasteful Forest and got away with it. Todays defence were punished as Brentford had their shooting boots on.

Rightly heaps praise on a team getting a convincing and professional away win……..breaks up said team a few days later. It’s as simple a mistake as that for me. Only a couple of players, but it changes so much of the team dynamics. And also sends a weird message to the players that come in and give everything.

If he’d have gone same again after a great win and we’d been beaten by the better team, I would hope most people wouldn’t wet the bed, it’s a perfectly sensible approach to send the same lads out again plus Jack.

Would have thought he would have enough experience to thank McNeil for the great assist, and swap him straight back out for Grealish. Dwight is a one trick donkey, but that trick only appears once a year at best. There is literally nothing else there.

We should NEVER be outfought and outrun at home. Garbage.

Hes also our best cm by a considerable distance
He's inconsistent in that respect whereas Ive yet to see him have a bad game at RB.

It's all abut decisions and the manger is making the wrong one again by keeping O'Brien at RB when he should be CB and Garner shifted to his position.

Stevie Wonder gets that decision right.

Disagree mate.

we were more balanced with Patterson at rb, and he offered more going forward, plus it wouldn’t have broke up JOB/Tarks cb.

Don’t change a winning team, bored of it now.

He's done a good job so far and will stabilise us this season/next.

It'll be a joyless but a couple of mid table finishes is all I was expecting/hoping for.

We always bottle it when we've got the chance of getting up amongst the top 6. Nothing new there.

The home form is a real worry. Apart from Fulham, Forest games we've been poor. We were lucky against Brighton, Palace and teams with really bad away form (Spurs, Newcastle, Brentford) have won without getting out of second gear.

The decision not to sign a right back was a real mistake.

Do you honestly believe that? I don’t see anything in this current set up that hints at any possible change, Sunderland victory or not.

The fella gave the most “not arsed in the slightest” response and demeanour to the league cup and he will probably do the same with the FA Cup.

There is no plan beyond just existing here, it satisfies the few with the salaries and those getting the free tickets, the rest inevitably go along with it.

It’s why when any groups or more outspoken supporter bases did speak out about the club they were so frowned upon. Don’t upset things.

I see no change in that with TFG, none.

The only way he is dismissed is if relegation becomes a possibility and that’s all you need to know about Everton and what it became.
I don't see him staying on beyond the summer. His job here is done.

I respectfully disagree mate. I agree he does a fine job at RB, but would I move him for merlin rohl or Harrison Armstrong? No.

O'Brien is crap regardless of position for me.
