2024/25 David Moyes

I have no idea what an "agreement to agree" consists of.

I'm a little bewildered that you don't see a difference between an execution date and an effective date.
Because the date of a contract is the date of a contract. Certain terms might be stated to take effective on a future date but the contract was effective on the date it was signed. That's not post dating. From a PSR perspective I have no idea whether signing a contract which says a player will be transferred on a specific date in the future is a way round PSR and neither do you.

You're a lawyer but you don't know contract law?

Just searched Chitty and post dating doesn't appear anywhere. And when a transfer is deemed to occur is determined by the PSR regs. Not contract law. Your idea seems to be that we announce that we have signed players before 1 July on the basis of a contracts which say the signing isn't effective until 1 July. We may as well paint a target on our back from a PSR perspective. The gap between your level of competence and level of confidence on virtually every topic is vast.
