Im being accosted by a "lawyer" who doesnt actually know the law, nor the rules, nor even the process.
Personally think you are simply getting confused by the transfer window and the actual contract.
A player may sign a contract on the 1st June, but can only be registered with the league/FA on the 1st July. The contract is still valid from 1st June, as that is the date they signed it. I guess a club may get a verbal contract or something similarly informal, but it will unenforceable by law. I am not a lawyer but I guess that would be the case?
Anyway, back on topic. I like
Moyes and trust him to some decent business this summer, he won't get everything done, and in turn wet some beds. There will be some papering over cracks but there is a lot to do, so that is totally understandable.
