2024/25 David Moyes

Have I entered another universe, felt we were the better team for most of the game yesterday.

It wasn’t rag ball river we were playing yesterday it was drop 200 mill in the Jan transfer window Man City, theyve more quality in ther U20 team then we have in our first 11.

And we gave them a game, they’ll feel very lucky getting up the road with a result.

At least let the manager attempt to build a team.
I can’t get my head around anyone thinking we were better than them even for a spell of a minute or two to be honest so yeah maybe you are in a different universe. We competed and didn’t make it easy for them, but they were so much better than us over the course of 90 minutes.

Absolutely, and we'd be 17th between Wolves and Ipswich by now.

Never having the chance to finish 13th what we have now, which could mean to have 10m more money to invest. My feeling is we will finish on 45 points.
I think we all know relegation isn't a worry now. Apart from the extra prize money it doesn't matter how far above 18th we finish. The important thing is for Davy to do an in-game stock check before seeing who's worth keeping and who isn't. I should hope he now realizes that Keane, Harrison, Broja, Doucoure and, possibly, Alcaraz shouldn't be here next season.

We were the more likely team to win until Tarkowski went off. I have no doubt about that

There's these other players that've got to adapt as well. Swapping markers, and covering the player in front. Maybe a like for like swap seemed the most non-disruptive.
I get that but why are we incapable of giving instructions? ‘You’re now marking Marmoush’s runs’

Look its done and it’s not worth carrying on about, but there is simply no justification for the Keane sub, everyone around the ground knew exactly what would happen - and it did.

Quite possibly. They weren’t the city of old and we had a couple of chances from set pieces, maybe we’d have nicked it. That wouldn’t in any way change the fact we weren’t actually the better team though would it. Thats not a criticism by the way, nobody would expect us to be the better team, im just saying we clearly weren’t.

Sackable offence giving Keane minutes.

If Moyes had 100 goodwill points, he used up 87 of them yesterday with that sub.
It's actually worrying. If this man is supposed to oversee the change this summer, then what has he left to learn about Keane that any one-eyed fool can see with two eyes?

I think once we all get over the novely and relief of not actually going through the Valley of Death in late April for a change, we might need to dial down our hopes of serious change and progression come the summer.

Moyes has done a top-class rescue and ship-steadying job. Top class. But that's done now. I think we need someone fresh, progressive, and less risk-averse to bring the real change required this summer.

All good as long as we can now move on from Keane and Broja for the rest of the season. Noticed yesterday they both carry a kind of aimlessness in their play and positioning.. anyways.. enough. tara.
Neither will be here next season, so im not sure why people are so bothered.

6 more games then all Moyes excuses go away and he stands or falls on what he does in the Summer.

I would suggest that being more likely to score than your opposition is a good barometer to say you have been the better team. You don't get points for passing it about aimlessly, you get points for scoring goals. So If your the more likely then yes you've been the better team

I mean, no I don’t agree with that at all. Also Tarkowski went off about 5 minutes into the second half I’m not sure why we’re making out like it was late on.

For me it looked very much like an end of season game, neither team ever really got going, but over the course of 90 minutes we were very much second best and I can’t really understand anyone not seeing that.

Not for me. We had more moments of momentum and honestly better chances. Do they have more quality - sure, they had better chance execution % is all.

Wouldn’t agree with your analysis really.

They had more possession, more shots, more shots on target, more shots from outside the box, more shots from inside the box, more touches in the box, more corners, higher xG, and won 2-0. But yeah, it’s just my analysis.
