2024/25 David Moyes

Think he was hoping to maintain the shape and slot a CB in for a CB, moving JO'B over means he's rusty in at CB and then a player out of Young, Coleman or Patterson is also in and rusty at RB. City threw a load of expensive bench filler on and just upped a gear whilst we were trying to find our feet. We didn't do much when we were on top and our half chances didn't quite go how we wanted, the longer it went on the more they stretched us, made all the worse by Tarkowski's injury. Far from a happier day at the office but thems the breaks in top flight football, and they have pretty much specialists in every position.
Sorry I just don’t go in for this, O’Brien is a CB by trade, moving him over a few yards shouldn’t be cataclysmic for the last 20 minutes of a game. Ashley Young was one of the better players in the team at the start of the season, he wouldn’t have suddenly forgotten how to play RB. This idea of ‘changing too many positions’ just feels like a flimsy excuse, you’d be making one change - and it’d be moving someone back to their natural position.

And hasn't played one competitive game for Everton at CB.

Also, Young hasn't played since man utd? and is nearly 40, and woefully not up to running fast enough. Cover and experience yes, but time catches all.

He chose to put three RB's on the bench but didn't shift his centre half across and put one of those three RB's on. Hauling "whoever" over the coals is actually holding our millionaire manager accountable for his decisions.
Would you be a dear and remind me when any of the three RB's last started a game for Everton at RB please.

O Brien has trained and prepared as a right back and Keane will have done the same as CB, anyone saying we should have put O Brien CB when Tarkowski went off clearly has no clue how football works.
City are the one team you couldn’t get away with it against as there play is so intricate and fluid the players would have fell over themselves.

4 months ago we were stirring down yet another relegation battle.

Today people are crying cos we got beat at home by the 4 times League Champions.

The sense of entitlement that people in this world have, its breathtaking.

Yes it was City. But we didnt lose because we played City.

We lost due to Moyes masterclass of errors in player selection.

Against Forest as well, he made errors which were masked by a 93rd minute winner.

As @Bebeto posted, it looks like hes intentionally using players incorrectly to point out to TFG that he needs to be given control of transfers...

...and a huge pot to waste.

Do you trust us to sign good players? I am scared.

I dont trust Moyes to sign good players.
