We lost the first game back after the jaunt to Portugal last year then went of a bit of a run if my memory is right.

Warm weather training is pretty standard practice for premier league teams if the opportunity arises. Always surprises me when people see it as a ‘holiday’ or a ‘reward’. It’s just what happens now. Promotes team bonding, everyone feels better in the sun, small injuries heal quicker in warm environments. They’ll probably do this every year now that they aren’t watching the pennies as much.
Not sure what is the point of this with about 13 first team players available...unless it can benefit those that are out injured and on their way back...they should use that time instead to start working on the summer rebuild and extend a few contracts.
