2024/25 David Moyes

If you`re cut adrift and need to win games, he`s 100% not the man for the job.

If you`re hovering just above the bottom three and need to bore draw you`re way to safety maybe.

Regardless, no way Ipswich would go near him, especially after they spent a few quid strengthening with players that suit McKenna`s system in the January window.

He is desperate for Leicester to appoint Dyche though, as according to him, Dyche is desperate for revenge and will use all his tactical masterclass to relegate us
I Honestly wouldnt wish Dyche on any club, its a game for the fans, its entertainment, its a passion, he removes everything fans love about the game. (Winning, Goals, Excitement, Success, attacking football) he is the opposite of all them.

Made me fume when people called him a miracle worker for doing the bare minimum of keeping this club in the league.

An impossible job that every single manager for 70+ years has done.

Moyes has been a breath of fresh air, he really has given us our club back.

Bit harsh i think mate. That season he took over Frank was taking us down. Dyche did a good job and the players bought into what he was trying. That kept into the second season, but it was clear they became disillusioned the following season.
The season Frank took over Benitez was taking us down.

The only difference is Dyche was lucky and had 2 years of nobody giving a toss about the club apart from getting it sold, otherwise he would of lasted the same as Lampard. (Getting the bullet after going almost 3 months without winning a game)

I have never hated my club under any manager as much as i did under Dyche.

Absolute cringe, like he got a group of league 2 players over the line in the PL.

Moyes has at least give us hope and proper football back in just under a month, with the same players.
How them Dyche supporters look stupid now, 'ITs THe PlAYers WHAt ELsE CAn We DO' errr just ask a half decent manager and give him a couple of training sessions, and all of a sudden they look like PL players again.

He is actually making Moyes look even better and he probably has done anything special.

That says more about Dyche then Moyes.

I think that’s something that gets forgotten/ overlooked. No way would he have kept his job after that run at any club with a functional board.

I think that’s a fair take for now.

The difference is, Moyes is a genuinely great coach and has a team of other top coaches.

Say what you like about him, but Moyes is very highly rated in the game. You don’t get to be on UEFA committees and become a top man at the LMA if you don’t know your stuff.

People always try to play down his work as well. Look at West Ham - not a single manager of the month award. But the fact he got them into Europe regularly and won them their first cup since 1980 is remarkable. If some young English guy in tasteful kintwear had done the same job they’d be touting him for the top positions.

We went nearly a full 4 months without winning a game by the way, and the win was Burnley's keeper kicking it into DCL. If we'd not fluked that win it would've been exactly 4 months. From winning against Burnley to not winning until we play Burnley again

Anyway, he's gone now, the slug. David Moyes, and I can't believe I'm saying that, feels like a breath of fresh air and seems to be SAF reincarnated compared to Dyche. I was vocally against him back at the helm but he's clearly the right man for right now, as we need stability and he will definitely bring us that. Hope maybe we get a good cup run this/next year as it'd make his legacy with us great and also I'd love to win something ffs

Oh I remember

We do look a different proposition with Moyes at the helm

Still not convinced by some of the players, but he’s got them having a go at Goodison at least

I didn’t think we were that bad against Villa even though we lost

They look a lot more up for it, but we’ve mostly played poor sides since he came in

Bournemouth are in great form and will prove a genuine test

It's like we got managed by the four horsemen of apocalypse.

Moyes has been a refreshing breath of air but personally I'm still upset over the United stuff. I wanted him on garden leave straight away and banned from Goodison and the applause for the last game felt wrong as he was a rival in my eyes.

I was pretty much over it once he basically got sacked in the tunnel at Goodison
