He should get the book thrown at him for that. Obviously it goes on, but to say it in an interview with such a vast audience is metal. I think he has lost the plot. All the years of 'We never discuss other teams players' whilst at Everton. Any integrity he had as evapourated within 12 months.
He is more out of his depth than Ed Harris in the Abyss.

IMO everything he did at Everton was with a view to getting the Man Utd job. He managed his media profile very carefully to ensure that everything was positive towards him and any negatives that may have come his way were brushed aside as being down to the Club's limitations. He should have been a politician.
Fortunately for us and unfortunately for him, when push has come to shove, he's got the job of his dreams and he's massively out of his depth with it, because instead of actually learning how to combat a resource situation in games, he's allowed himself to believe the 'numbers game' and his ability and skill set is nowhere near what it needs to be. Hence why I think as you say his integrity etc. has gone, people are finally seeing the real man behind the mask.
