If you don't like what's in this thread then stay out of it. I don't know how you can defend someone who treated the club the way he did once he left, actually even before he left. It's been a few months and you're acting like it was years ago. Great fans. Clap him when he comes to Goodison for the great servant he was.

Yeah, but in the small world of footie, it would be along the lines of, "if we were interested in any of your clients, can you see any issues other than the normal parts of a negotiation" type of conversation.

An agent of a decent player would not spend ages negotiating terms/clauses/etc only for his player to then say no cos of something else. Like no CL for example. Or because of the manager.

I'm sure plenty of that does go on without the permission of either clubs. I'm just surprised that he admitted to it on TV, it shows the pressure he feels he's under to keep his job, despite what he says about not being under threat. He was trying to defend his position when the interviewer was suggesting that they were no longer attractive to top players and cocked up basically, after last summers antics I have no sympathy for the man.

David Moyes has claimed Everton's manager, Roberto Martínez, is holding back the careers of Marouane Fellaini and Leighton Baines by not allowing them to be sold to Manchester United.

"I definitely do but I also know that if I'd been Everton manager and Sir Alex had come asking for Leighton Baines and Marouane Fellaini, I'd have found it very difficult to keep them because I always felt the right thing to do was what was right for the players," he said. Everton described their former manager's offer for the pair as "derisory and insulting" but Moyes said: "I signed every player at Everton, so I know a lot about them. They are a great club and they are both excellent players."

"Any players we've quietly discussed it with are more than happy to join Manchester United,"

He said this after the Bayern game. Sounds like 'tapping up' players to me.

I'm glad someone else thought this! I actually thought I had misheard him initially, then he said it again and I thought to myself this'll be all over the papers tomorrow and he'll be in right in the brown messy stuff, but I've not seen anything about it at all!

Glazers want to act fast. Club split on replacement but Moyes will not be there next season, sacked after we beat them I'd say.
