Moyes does what Moyes does best - goes down fighting. Give him something to win however and there's no chance of that happening. I called this tie spot on - at least in terms of the aggregate score (I said 2-1 to Bayern both legs with United scoring first in both games).

My comment - exactly - was

Bayern Munich (away) - needing a small miracle things start well with an early goal but another 2-1 reverse results in a 4-2 aggregate defeat and a modicum of respectability.

Bayern got beat at home by arsenal last season, so it's hardly utterly impossible.
