i dont like moyes but this is out of order

You know what amazes me about all this the most? How anyone is surprised in the slightest.

David Moyes has been exactly what David Moyes is, nothing whatsoever has changed; his poor results in big games, his tactical ineptitude, his sour face, his stupid backroom staff - yet for some baffling reason it was acceptable at Everton. The only thing that has changed is the badge on his coat and Steve Round's headset has seemingly been surgically implanted inside his head through the wonders of Mancunian technology.

Guess he'll end up falling on his sword - resigning due to stress /illness - to save Fergie's blushes over having to fire him. In truth he has aged terribly and I'm feeling a bit sorry for him despite him bringing it on himself.

Would imagine a year or so on a beach somewhere and then back to a club lower table which is flirting with relegation. Probably do a good job too, he has some skills just not those suitable for a title winning side.

He's an incredible Director of Football. Can see his future being in that role for some top, top clubs. But he'll never manage at the top again.

I tell you what though mate - he'd be an absolute idiot to resign and forego 5 years money left on his contract. If I was him, I'd be thinking - 'Let them sack me'.

Especially as the departure will be embarrassing all round and it might affect him getting another job straight away. I'm sure someone will give him another job in time, but this saga might follow him around for a bit.

Much as I have come to despise him, I think no man deserves the grief he is being given by these smug gets whose over inflated sense of their club's importance and their overbearing sense of entitlement has re-defined hubris.

I hope they continue to fall even after Moysie is hounded out.

I can't see it. For years I've seen an ego maniac behind that martyrdom facade he retreats into Moyes world at the first sign of criticism changing not one iota.

I'll never forget his brass neck after the infamous anfield derby boasting he'd do it all again. I have no doubt in his little world he is absolutely right just a tad unlucky!

The man is a basket case regarding judgement I wouldn't have in a managerial position anywhere I'd only have him stacking shelves at a supermarket because he's tall.

He's brazen enough to ride the abuse and collect his fat pay off.

Could you imagine failing to manage the biggest sports 'brand' in the world so bad that all their fans mock you, and having to go through every day public activities (shop-going, him flying to a different place with family, etc).

Pretty much everyone knows who he is atm... And it's not for a good reason.

He can't quit it would look like he bottled it. I feel sorry for him definitely and would still assume that given time he could do a job there. The main thing I can't get my head around is that for years fans, pundits and pro's have talked of UTD's need for central midfielders and he allowed himself and the board to dither but that could be seen as Moyes all over

This.

Moyes and Manchester United were just made for each other.

I would imagine some "arrangement" would be made, perhaps some extra money than he would normally get from resigning and the promise of Man Utd pulling some strings with other clubs to get him in another job eg loans of youth players or good deals on players that never made it into the first team.

But perhaps his ego/desire for the cash will be too great. Guess we'll see - if they get crushed by Bayern cannot see him lasting past the end of the season at most

Happens to England managers all the time mate, Graham Taylor, Steve Mclaren and Kevin Keegan spring to mind and what about Woy at the RS?

Being paid in the millions helps soften the ignominy I imagine but at the end of the day he couldn't get there fast enough. Every man and his dog predicted the man after Fergie was a patsy but Moyes couldn't smile wide enough and straight away his ego went into overdrive booting out the champions coaching staff and behaving like Everton players were his personal property.

His judgement is appalling.

I don't often quote scripture but this phrase seems apt

Bible, Book of Proverbs, 16:18,. Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.
