James ducker of the Times is reporting on twitter that Gary Neville, Phil Neville, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt have purchased non-league Salford City FC. Earlier in the day the guardian gossip said there had been rumours they hoped to buy it to establish it as an academy to develop young players.
Perhaps Phil is lining up alternative career options...

when you take a step back and give the moyes era a good look. It occurs to me that in his head he couldn't take us on ' that next step' because he didn't want to.
forever looking down the 62 with envy telling himself if he had the money hed win the league, full of self delusion or just another excuse for his lack of achievement?
When we finished 4th he acted like we'd won a trophy, when all we really had done is given ourselves the chance to qualify. What happened to his glass ceiling that season.
i remember he always said .....for a club like Everton what does that mean, more excuses, it was then me arl fella pointed out how moyes acted like he was bigger than the club. A point proved when he left.
he still acts like the players he signed for Everton belong to him.
and im pretty sure that his transfer target list is just the Everton squad, he cant attract the fabregas' of the footballing world so stick to what you know.

"Who authorised the six year contract? If we were to sack him it would cost us 30m from the end of the season (£6m a year) this decision is mind blowing no-one person should ever be offered such a ridiculous contract! To remove Moyes from his post we will have to sacrifice possible transfer targets! Honestly, if I were to earn £30m from being sacked I would have the same nonchalant don't care if I lose attitude that the clueless Scot has!"
